Rules
1. A Motorcycle
Championship shall be promoted by the Federation of British Police Motor
Clubs to decide the best performance of any motorcyclist competing in any
or all elements of Motorcycle Sport. 2. The Trophy shall be awarded for
an annual competition open to all members of clubs affilliated to the
FBPMC. The competition will commence on 1st January and end on 31st
December each year. 3. In order to be eligible for the Championship
each prospective competitor must register with the National Motorcycle
Secretary by 1st April of that year. 4. Results will be compiled by the
National Motorcycle Secretary by 31st January each year in respect of the
previous year. 5. Competitors may only claim points for events which
take place after their registration. Retrospective claims will not be
considered. 6. Points will be awarded on a "per event" not "per day"
basis. 7. All claims for points in respect of each event must be made
in writing to the National Motorcycle Secretary accompanied by copies of
the entry list and final results for that event. 8. Competitors shall
be eligible for points in any event by entering under the name of
F.B.P.M.C. 9. Points will be awarded as follows:
Starting any
International Event - 10 points Starting any National Event - 5
points Starting any other event - 3 points
Finishing - 1st place
- 15 points Finishing - 2nd place - 12 points Finishing - 3rd place
- 10 points Finishing - 4th place - 8 points Finishing - 5th place -
6 points Finishing - 6th place - 5 points Finishing - 7th place - 4
points Finishing - 8th place - 3 points Finishing - 9th place - 2
points Finishing - 10th place - 1 point
10. In all cases of
dispute or uncertainty the final decision will be made by the National
Motorcycle Secretary and the National Competition Secretary. 11. The
Trophy and/or replica will be presented annually at the FBPMC General
Council Meeting. 12. The winner must attend to receive the Trophy.
Failure to do so will result in presentation of a replica only. The trophy
to be retained by the FBPMC. 13. In the event of a tie on total points
the winner shall be that person competing in the most number of eligible
events that year. 14. Where an event is divided into 'classes' points
will be awarded according to where a competitor finishes within their
class NOT according to overall finishing position. 15. "International"
shall be defined as any event taking place outside the competitors normal
country of residence (ie. in Scotland of resident in England), open to
competitors other than UK citizens or an event forming part or the whole
of a World or European championship.
