1. A championship event
is for two trophies kindly presented by Mr and Mrs E R Gahan for annual competition
to be awarded each year to the best Federation of British Police Motor Clubs
(FBPMC) driver and the best FBPMC navigator in any form of motor car event.
2. The second best
FBPMC driver and the second best FBPMC navigator in this competition will
be awarded each year trophies kindly presented by Mr and Mrs F H Jauncey.
3. The trophies
shall be for annual competition open to all members of clubs affiliated to
the FBPMC. The competition will end on 31 December and will commence on 1
January.
4. Trophies will
be presented annually at the FBPMC GCM. The winner of each trophy will be
responsible for its safe custody for one tear, and each winner will additionally
receive a replica which may be retained. The holder of a trophy shall return
it to the General Secretary prior to the GCM or when requested personally
otherwise.
5. In order to be
eligible for the competition each prospective competitor shall register with
the National Competitions Secretary.
6. Competitors may
claim points only for events which take place after registration. Retrospective
claims will not be considered.
7. All claims for
points in respect of each event must be made in writing to the National Competitions
Secretary accompanied by copies of the Entry List, Final results for that
event within approximately 60 days from the event.
8. Competitors shall
be eligible for points in the championship by entering any
car or four wheel vehicle event
under the
name of the FBPMC.
9. In any one year
the total number of events for which a competitor may claim points shall not
exceed 9. If any competitor registers claims in respect of 10 or more events,
the 9 highest scores only will count.

Points will be awarded in accordance with the following scale:
Starting any event 2 points
Finishing an International 8 points
Finishing a National A 8 points
Finishing a National B 4 points
Finishing a Clubman 2 points
For being placed in overall
classification in the positions shown bonus points as follows:

11. Should any tie occur
the competitor whose points result from the lowest number of scores shall
be the winner. Should a tie still remain unresolved the competitor recording
the largest number of points from the highest grades of events shall be the
winner.
12. In all cases
of dispute the judges¹ decision shall be final. The judges shall be the Chairman,
Honorary General Secretary and National Competition Secretary to the FBPMC.
13. Insurance of
the trophies shall be arranged by the FBPMC.

Details of the progress of the Championship and other information relating
to the events in the series shall be published from time to time by the National
Competition Secretary. |
