Constitution

 

 

AFFILIATION
The Federation shall be recognised by, and affiliated to the Motor Sports Association and the Auto Cycle Union. Any member Club may be affiliated to the the Motor Sports Association and/or Auto Cycle Union or affiliated to an organisation which is, in turn, recognised by the M.S.A. or A.C.U.

ADMINISTRATION.
(i). The Federation shall be governed by a General Council of which the Officers shall be President , Vice ­ Presidents, Chairman , Vice ­ Chairman, General Secretary, Treasurer, National Motor Cycle Secretary, National Competition Secretary, Press Officer, National Caravan Secretary, together with the Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer and Competition Secretary from each region and four representatives from each Club. The General Council shall meet on the nearest Sunday convenient to the 25th March each year.

(ii). The General Secretary shall be responsible to the General Council for all Federation business. Regional Committees shall consult the General Secretary before making decisions on behalf of the Federation. The General Secretary shall be invited to all Regional Committee meetings and shall be supplied with a copy of the Minutes of such meetings.

An Executive Committee meeting shall be held as required and will comprise the President, Chairman, Vice ­ Chairman, General Secretary, Treasurer, National Motor Cycle Secretary, Assistant Motor Cycle Secretary, National Competition Secretary, Press Officer, Editor, National Caravan Secretary, and the Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer and Competition Secretary of each Region. A quorum for an Executive Meeting shall be the Chairman or Vice ­ Chairman or General Secretary and four other members.

The Police Athletic Association Council shall have the right to nominate a Representative to the General Council of the Federation.

The appointed representative of the Association of Chief Police Officers shall be invited to Federation meetings and shall be authorised by the Federation to represent its interest before the A.C.P.O.

Regional Committees shall be set up as considered necessary by the General Council. They shall be charged with the general management of the Regions and shall consist of Chairman, Secretary, Competition Secretary, Treasurer and four members from each Club in that Region. They shall meet at least once a quarter and shall invite the Officers of other Regions to attend for the purpose of co-­operation between the Regions.
